Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry and Mark Franke, chair of the Lutheran Life Villages board of directors, man the scissors during the ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Village at Pine Valley. On Friday, June 29, Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry led the ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open The Village at Pine Valley, Lutheran Life Villages’ new state-of-the-art skilled-nursing and rehabilitation campus at 9802 Coldwater Road, north of Tillman Road. Several hundred people toured the community during an evening open house on Thursday, June 28.

The new campus features semiprivate and private accommodations for skilled-nursing residents and 36 private rehab suites and therapeutic services for people during their short-term transition from the hospital to their homes.

The opening of this nine-acre campus represents the beginning of another chapter in Lutheran Life Villages’ 80-year history of providing premier retirement-living options and compassionate care to older adults in northeast Indiana.
