{Fort Wayne, July 28, 2022} – Each year, Lutheran Life Villages (LLV), a faith-based, non-profit senior living organization, presents The Vivian Purvis IMPACT Award to an individual who has made a significant impact on the organization and the people they serve.
At 102 years old, Vivian has been supporting the mission of Lutheran Life Villages as a volunteer and a donor since 1966! Her dedication and commitment are truly unmatched, and she remains an active volunteer to this day.
Past recipients of the IMPACT Award have been volunteers, residents, and community partners. This year, however, is different. It is almost impossible to choose a single individual for the honor, when so many have given so much to our organization in truly unprecedented circumstances. This year’s award is presented to our LLV employees. Each staff member will receive a commemorative pin to recognize their incredible IMPACT in our community.
"The hard work and dedication of LLV employees is a blessing that deserves recognition," said Alex Kiefer, President and CEO. "Over the last two difficult years, our staff has risen to every challenge. Our mission is brought to life through their hard work everyday as they serve as an expression of Christ's love. The positive impact that each staff person has on residents, their family members and ultimately the community at large is immeasurable. The Vivian Purvis Impact Award is one way that we share our gratitude for their commitment."
Lutheran Life Villages serves over 650 individuals each month and employs over 500 staff. It is only through consistent collaboration and teamwork between all of our departments that we are able to provide the level of service that we are known for.
Past recipients of the Impact award: Vivian Purvis, Bob and Ramona Scheimann, and Mark Hagerman.
