About Rock Steady Boxinglogo-rsb_401_171.png#asset:191

Lutheran Life Villages has teamed up with Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) to enter the fight against Parkinsons. Rock Steady Boxing improves the quality of life for people battling Parkinson’s disease through non-contact, boxing inspired fitness training.

In our gym, exercises are largely adapted from boxing drills. Boxers condition for optimal agility, speed, muscular endurance, accuracy, hand-eye coordination, footwork and overall strength to defend against and overcome opponents. At RSB, Parkinson’s disease is the opponent. Exercises vary in purpose and form but share one common trait: they are rigorous and intended to extend the perceived capabilities of the participant.

About Lutheran Life Villages

Lutheran Life Villages has been providing compassionate, spiritually connected care to the people of Northeast Indiana since 1931. What started as the “Oak Street Home” has evolved to four thriving communities — The Village at Anthony Boulevard, The Village at Kendallville and The Village at Pine Valley and Piper Trail.

While a lot has changed, our mission to serve the older adults in our community has remained the same. And as we continue to grow, we will always strive to provide A Better Way of Living for our residents, our staff and everyone in our community.
