Dear Residents and Family Members,

We recognize the seriousness of the presence of coronavirus in the U.S. and our local community. We are taking the necessary precautions to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy. Since many illnesses like the flu and COVID19 are more aggressive for older populations, we have restricted access to the community.

Please share this information with your family and friends and ask them to refrain from visiting our communities until further notice. We also have a plan in place to address staff members who are ill and to ensure they remain away from the communities until they are deemed healthy by CDC standards.

You will find the main doors secured as a preventive measure. We ask that you seek alternative methods to communicate with your loved ones while we take these extra precautions.

We take precautions throughout the year to protect our residents from a variety of illnesses. We have a plan in place to address those who show symptoms of COVID19 and other illnesses, and increase our inventory of medical supplies.

While not everything is known about the virus, medical professionals agree that prevention is the best form of protection. We encourage all residents, associates and guests to wash their hands thoroughly and often, use hand sanitizer, refrain from touching the face, and keep a safe social distance from those who are sick.

Lutheran Life Villages is in communication with the CDC, Allen County and Indiana State Departments of Health and CMS to keep abreast of the changing facts of the virus and its presence in Indiana.

Rest assured, you and your loved one’s care is our number one focus. We appreciate your cooperation and ask for your continued support at this time.
