Great news! Lutheran Life Villages recently was awarded a $4,000 grant for dementia training in Noble County from the Community Foundation of Noble County and its supporting organization, Community Initiatives Inc.
This generous grant will help to bring professional trainers from dementia care providers to Noble County, where they’ll spend a day with health care professionals, family caregivers and interested community members and teach Positive Approach to Care techniques.
Created by famed therapist and dementia educator Teepa Snow, Positive Approach to Care is a person-centered program that has improved quality of life for thousands of dementia patients.
We were honored to have Ms. Snow visit us in Fort Wayne last summer to teach her influential techniques in person.
