Maintain facility, in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
A. Makes residents beds daily; replace with clean sheets weekly.
B. Cleans, sanitizes, and/or polishes bathroom fixtures, assures water marks are removed.
C. Cleans shower curtains, removing soil and mildew.
D. Cleans windows/mirrors in assigned area.
E. Vacuums carpet and spot-cleans areas needed.
F. Removes dirt, dust, grease, film, etc. from horizontal and vertical surfaces.
G. Cleans floors and baseboards, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, and disinfecting, as needed. Sets up appropriate caution signs.
H. Cleans walls by wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting or deodorizing.
I. Discards waste/trash into proper containers and relines trash receptacle with plastic liners.
J. Cleans and or polishes furnishings, fixtures, ledges, and heating/cooling units daily in areas of facility, as instructed.
K. Assures work areas are clean and equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored at all times, including, breaks, meal times, and at end of shift.
L. Performs terminal/discharge cleaning as instructed.
M. Cleans vacant rooms as assigned.
N. Cleans hallways, stairways, and elevators as needed.
O. Assists in lifting heavy equipment as needed.
P. Cleans isolation rooms.
Q. Handles bio-hazardous waste.
R. Coordinates routine/terminal cleaning procedures with nursing staff.
S. Restocks carts for next use.
T. Tumbles/fluffs draperies annually.
