Unique to our Village at Anthony Boulevard campus in Fort Wayne, our innovative intergenerational programming joins residents in our senior residential retirement community and students from Lutheran Social Services of Indiana’s Children’s Village early-learning center.
The program is a source of joy for members of both groups and the interaction plays a key role in promoting overall wellness. Residents read to the children, play games with them, and participate in other fun activities. At the same time, students sometimes deliver mail to the residents, join them in exercise and, on occasion, attend group outings.
It’s another reason why nonprofit Lutheran Life Villages is Northeast Indiana’s premier provider of senior living, senior healthcare and other services.
