Instead, we wholeheartedly reinvest the funds we generate into our campuses, residents and devoted staff. To put it simply, we channel more resources towards enriching our communities. Your generous gifts play a vital role in supporting our ministry, which serves as a heartfelt expression of Christ’s love. It allows us to fulfill our mission, which originated with a compassionate group of Lutheran churches in 1931.

Estate planning is not only an excellent way to invest in the future of Lutheran Life Villages, but it also provides an opportunity for donors to leave a lasting impact on our community. By including a portion or percentage to LLV in your estate plans, you can ensure that your legacy continues to support our mission for years to come.
Donors also have the option to make tax-deductible gifts from their estate. With this option, you’ll not only contribute meaningfully but also reduce your taxable income. Your support matters, and estate planning is a powerful tool to leave a meaningful and charitable mark on the community we cherish.
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you can make a tax-free gift through your individual retirement account (IRA). Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) are the savviest way for seniors to use their IRAs to maximize their charitable impact to a qualified nonprofit organization like Lutheran Life Villages. By leveraging this contribution method, individuals not only have an opportunity to give back to their community but also have the added benefit of potentially reducing their taxable income.

If you have Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs), you can simplify your giving and easily recommend a grant to LLV. A DAF is like a charitable savings account. DAFs give you the flexibility of how much and how often money is granted to LLV and other qualified charities. They offer a valuable opportunity for donors to make tax-deductible contributions while making a lasting impact on our residents. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts.

Put stock in something that matters! Donating appreciated stock allows donors to avoid capital gains taxes. Donors can donate stock directly to our senior living community, allowing them to make a meaningful impact while also reducing their taxable income. Many companies will double or even triple charitable contributions made by their employees. Contact your employer to find out if they offer a matching program and take advantage of multiplying the impact of your gift.
By directing Choice Dollars® through the Thrivent Choice program, eligible Thrivent clients with membership can influence where Thrivent distributes some of its outreach funding each year.
Since its inception in 2010, Thrivent has provided more than $550 million in charitable outreach funds through Thrivent Choice, to help support the initiatives of nonprofit organizations like LLV.
