DEAN | PILOT

Dean “Cutter” Cutshall has done a lot in his life. He served in the Navy. He sold airplanes. He became a successful banker. But more than anything, Dean has flown. Since learning to fly in 1960, he has been a flight instructor, and a chief pilot for a major air carrier.

Mary | Quilter

Throughout her 104 years of life, Mary has found joy in many activities, but her first love will always be quilting.

Rich lives his life at the net.

For more than 15 years, Rich has played and coached the sport he loves. When he’s not on the court teaching the next generation of pickleball players, he enjoys the easy-going lifestyle that Piper Trail provides.

Ruth lives her life stepping to the beat.

Ruth and her 13 tap dance partners entertain audiences at local nursing homes, parties, festivals, etc., performing up to three shows every month. The busy schedule of rehearsals and shows keep Ruth active – she has no time to be bored.

Lorene lives her life sewing acts of kindness.

As a long-time volunteer, Lorene Bouman always helped make life at Lutheran Life Villages a little better. As a 4-year resident, she has become the community seamstress, mending garments for her friends and neighbors.
